Xuerong He (Crystal)

I’m an interdisciplinary designer based in London, focusing on printing, visual communication and brand design. My design practice focuses on inclusive design and sociological perspectives, and is committed to responding to social issues through visual language and conveying clear and meaningful information.

In creation, I always adhere to the concept of ‘Simply is hard’, take minimalism as the aesthetic foundation, emphasise the removal of redundancy, retain the essence, and create space for the viewer’s thinking and emotional resonance. I believe that design is not only a visual expression, but also a power to stimulate empathy, promote dialogue and promote positive social change.

In addition to graphic and brand design, I also like to expand the boundaries of creation, including display design and fashion. These interdisciplinary attempts have brought more dimensional understanding and possibilities to my design, so that each creation has deeply explored the relationship between perception, culture and people.

可见健康：幽门螺杆菌意识的公共卫生设计 (VISIBLE HEALTH: Public Health Design for Helicobacter Pylori Awareness)

VISIBLE HEALTH is a visual transmission project aimed at raising public awareness of Helicobacter pylori, a common but often neglected bacterial infection that can lead to serious digestive health problems. Drawing on the design principles of inclusiveness and minimalism, the project uses bold geometric shapes and colour systems to transform complex medical information into accessible and emotionally attractive materials.

Through a series of consistent posters, sports posters and interactive flyers, the design promotes early discovery, lifestyle changes and practical prevention strategies. The project repositions health information into interactive dialogue instead of passive instructions, so that individuals can understand their bodies and make wise choices.

Graphics of Tennis

The project explores the aesthetic interplay of colour and geometric shapes in visual design through the theme of tennis. My goal is to express the dynamic characteristics of tennis through concise and powerful design, capturing the fluidity and elegance of the sport, and creating a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity. In terms of colour selection, I strive to reflect the vitality and energy of natural grasslands, using concise geometric lines and forms to highlight the rhythm and energy of movement, thereby forming works with visual impact and emotional transmission.
